It depicts a woman in Neapolitan costume carrying a child on her shoulders. A boy, also in costume, walks next to her. He is carrying a vessel in his hand. On the right side of the picture, behind the groups of figures, an architectural structure can be seen. It reminds the observer of a shrine. If you look closer, you can see a well.
On the left, a view of a landscape opens up in the distance of which a castle can be seen.
