Woodcut block engraved by Paul de Sémant (1855–1915), with the following caption on the reverse: “Book 135. The Black Invasion. At seven o’clock in the morning, the Moroccans had lowered the flag. ” This woodcut was created for the book *L'invasion noire* by Émile-Cyprien Driant (1855–1916), known as Captain Danrit, published in 1894–1895. Provenance: Pierre Jean Mathan Collection.
