WORLD WAR I PRUSSIAN INFANTRYMAN'S ‘LITEWKA' TUNIC
World War I Prussian ‘Litewka' dress tunic of light grey wool construction with red piping. Sewn-in shoulder boards with white backing and silver wire. The double-breasted tunic is secured closed by two rows of six copper buttons. Threaded through the second buttonhole is a World War I Iron Cross recipient's ribbon. Features two straight line pockets at the bottom and 5.5 in. cuffs also piped in red. The interior is lined in grey silk, unmarked. A few minor stained spots at the top of the interior and a trivial area of loose stitching at the collar. Other than a few moth nips, in fine condition.
