WRITTEN DURING THE U.S. OCCUPATION OF JAPAN (WORLD WAR II.) MACARTHUR, DOUGLAS. Two items: Photograph dated and Signed * Typed Letter Signed. The photograph, bust portrait showing him in 5-star general's uniform. Signed in the image, lower right. Inscription above signature, "To E.A. Burbank," in unknown hand. 10x8 inches. The letter, to magazine publisher Herbert Hamlin, sending inscribed photographs. 1/2 page, 4to, "Supreme Commander for the Allied Powers" stationery; faint toning at all edges. Tokyo, 16 February 1949
