WW1 British Other Ranks Steel Helmet with Original Trench Cover, good example of a 2nd pattern brodie helmet with an original sacking hessian helmet cover fitted. The helmet retains the original oilskin liner system and remains of the leather chinstrap. Pink brodie stamp to the underside of the liner. Some obvious service wear and a small section of hessian sacking missing from the cover. Would appear to have been hung on a wall at some time with a small drill hole to the rear of the shell and into the cover. Overall a very good example of a original other ranks trench cover helmet.
