WW1 German & French Grenade lot to include 1) WWI FRENCH CITRON FOUG GRENADE. Very rare early WWI French Citron Foug hand grenade model 1916. A defensive grenade, cast iron, shaped like a lemon, hence its nickname, with an outer grid pattern. As early as April 1915, a factory in Foug, France, began to produce these simple grenades. Very good. Inert. 2) IMPERIAL GERMAN M1917 EGG GRENADE. M1917 Eierhandgranaten n/A with a zinc 7 second fuse. This example is the M1917 Eierhandgranaten n/A with a zinc 7 second fuse. The hole on the side is a vent hole for the burning of the fuse.
