This is an antique World War I political cartoon / propaganda print titled QUIT YOUR FIGHTING AND LET'S ALL BE FRIENDS. The overall frame measures 23 3/8 inches wide by 11 1/2 inches high. The print itself measures 20 inches wide by 8 inches high (51 cm x 20.3 cm).The print is marked in the bottom left corner MORRIS & BENDIEN N. Y. UNIVERSAL COPYRIGHT. It is signed in the bottom right corner C. Weiretree, though this is just a print. From what I have read, it dates from 1915. World War I occurred during 1914 and 1918.The piece depicts each country involved in World War I as a baby. A statement in itself! The United States is at the center of it dressed as Uncle Sam. He is acting as a peacemaker trying to break up the fight. The print has some scattered light marks on it.
