WW1 US MEDICAL COPRS HAND CARVED PIPES BH 59 WWI
Stellar grouping of three hand carved pipes from a Lt. Col. Doctor who served with Base Hospital 59. All three pipes are exquisitely carved to include 1) Pipe bowl is engraved AEF within a scroll to the left side and to the right side in matching scroll USA. To the center a large shield shape and in high relief LIEUT. COL. MC with his initials "SGM". 2) This bowl is carved with a bold Caduceus with BH 59 or Base Hospital 59. This pipe is hallmarked BBB and is also marked ENGLAND with silver marks to the well tarnished band. 3) Final bowl is carved in high relief an American Eagle with the initials BH 59 and AEF to the shield of the center of the eagle. All pipes are in excellent condition.
