WW2 British Black Beret, Royal Armoured Corps (RAC). An original example of the British black beret as used by armoured troops, RAC and the RTR. Black wool crown with cotton lining. The leather sweatband, has cracked and become flakely. The cotton twill adjustment tie is still present. Faintly dated 1944 to the interior with the manufactures mark. Both eyelets in situ with leather tabbed reverse. Royal Armoured Corps cap badge fitted with a twin lug reverse. Age related wear but generally good condition with the main damaged being the leather sweatband.
