WW2 Kieffer Commando Green Beret. An original British Green commando beret, with Free French, Kieffer Commando Cap badge and insignia. The beret constructed in green wool with leather sweatband and twin eyelets. The interior displays the makers mark of 'Kangol Wear Limited' the broad arrow, and the date of '1945'. The leather tab remains behind the eyelets inside. A Kieffer commando cap badge marked 'J Gaunt' to the rear and the 1945 onwards commando dagger cloth formation patch has been pinned to the crown with a Free French Cross of Lorraine badge. The beret is in generally good condition with only small signs of age related wear and mothing. This was previously sold by DNW, (Noonans) in March 2020.
