WWII World War Two photograph lot consisting of 5 period photographs of the October 1945 Japanese surrender at Tientsin, China to United States Marines of the 1st Marine Division, 3rd Marine Amphibious Corps. Two of the photos have period ink inscriptions, "1ST DIV. HONOR GUARD - JAP SURRENDER AT TIENTSIN CHINA (3rd Amphibious Corps Headquarters in background), and "Japs signing surrender." Another photograph shows a Marine photographer and Marine officer standing behind a table of surrendered samurai swords. These photos measure 5.875" x 4".
