WWI Era Colt Army Model 1917 Double Action Revolver With Holster And Accessories .45 Caliber
This Model 1917 double action revolver was made by Colt between 1917 and 1920 for the US Army and chambered for .45 ACP with half moon clips. The revolver features a blade front sight and notch rear sight on a 5 1/2" barrel marked "Colt DA 45". The fluted cylinder holds 6 rounds and swings out on the left side with release beside the hammer. Left shoulder on the frame is marked with the Rampant Colt with no circle. Grip is fitted with wood grip panels and lanyard loop with "U.S.Army Model 1917" and serial number on the base. Included with this revolver is a "US" marked leather holster, 3 pocket cartridge pouch with 6 moon clips and marked "Gregory & Read Co., Lynn, Mass. 9-18", First aid pouch marked "PB& Co. 1918", Bauer and Black First Aid Packet, and M1912 pistol belt.
