WWI SMITH & WESSON MODEL 1917 .45 PISTOL IN BOX
SN 67611, made in 1918. 5.5" barrel, double action, 6-shot revolver in .45. Smith & Wesson .45 Hand Ejector US Service Model of 1917. Features fixed sights, smooth walnut USGI Grips and lanyard ring. This example has been nickel plated. Has "UNITED STATES PROPERTY" mark on the underside of the barrel, "U.S. ARMY MODEL 1917" on the butt, and a separate Army serial number 96258 on the butt. There is an age spot on the right hand side plate and a 1/2" chip to the right side grip. Bore very good, action flawless. Refinish was done very well, and is approximately 99% with minimal wear below the cylinder on the left side. Comes in Smith & Wesson blue box with factory S&W paper wrap. Box is not marked to this gun. Excellent*
