World War One yard long photograph of the 309th Engineers. Image by Hughes & Estabrook 251 W. 42 St. N.Y. Many of the men are armed with rifles while others hold musical instruments. A dog ( mascot?) lays at the feet of one of the engineers in the first row. 84th Division "railsplitter" patches are visible on some of the tunics. The photo is housed in the original 34.5" x 9.625" frame. The original cardboard backing has a pencil inscription that is difficult to read. In-house shipping is available.
