WWII 1941-Shin Gunto Japanese Officer's Katana-Signed
This is a fantastic WWII era Shin Gunto Japanese Katana, believed to be an officer's sword. One side of the tang is marked Spring 1941, the other side appears to read "Ironworks" (courtesy of Facebook group). Handle is braided with ornate buttcap, collar and guard having embossed flowers. Overall approx. measures. 38" long.
Condition Report: Overall great display condition. Blade with wear and surface rust consistent with use and age. Peg for handle is in two pieces. Please examine photos carefully.
