WWII 1943 dated U.S. Navy Elgin Timer 15 Jewel Mechanical Stopwatch

World War II mechanical stopwatch. The case is stamped featuring a white dial marked ELGIN TIMER in black serif lettering. The dial is configured with a 60-second outer track and a 30-minute inset sub-dial at the twelve o'clock position. The manual-wind movement is visible within the case and bears an engraved serial number 42474572, alongside the inscriptions ELGIN NATL WATCH CO., U.S.A., and 15 JEWELS. The movement includes a regulator scale with F and S indicators. The interior of the case back features a circular stamped mark reading CASED AND TIMED BY ELGIN NATIONAL WATCH CO. surrounding a central STAR WATCH CASE COMPANY logo, which consists of a five-pointed star between the words Star and Case. Below this mark is the stamped serial number 5178269. The exterior case is constructed from base metal with chrome plating and includes a pendant with a crown and a square-shaped bow. A white woven cord lanyard is attached to the bow. Pickup is Monday, Nov. 9, from 11 am to 7 pm at our facility in Lancaster, OH.
