World War Two cased spare compass body for a British Royal Air Force "Wimperis" Mk VII course setting bomb sight. The case has stenciled warnings to handle with care. The diameter of the compass body is 3.875" and is housed in a 5.25" x 5.25" X 3.875" wooden case. There is a stenciled oval with lettering on the bottom of the case that is only partially decipherable. The compass body has not been removed from the case as it appears to be "stuck" to the bottom. The MK VII A, B, and C bomb sights were the standard British bomb sights used on British bombers in the 1930s into WWII. In-house shipping is available.
