WWII - Cold War Era Canadian INGLIS Hi Power Canvas Service Pistol Holster
This is a Canadian military-issue pistol holster designed for the Inglis Browning Hi-Power service pistol, constructed from heavy-duty olive drab cotton canvas. The design features a full-access cover flap secured by a single canvas strap. This closure strap is reinforced at the tip with a black rubberized or plastic pull-tab and fastens via a black-finished steel stud. The perimeter of the holster is finished with canvas tape binding and uniform machine stitching. The interior includes a black steel extraction hook mechanism designed to assist in drawing the sidearm. The reverse side is fitted with a single wide canvas belt loop for attachment to a standard web belt. There are no visible maker marks, factory stamps, or date codes present on the exterior or the visible portions of the interior. Measurements: Length: 7.25 inches (measured along the top edge) Width: 5.75 inches (measured at the widest point of the flap).
