German World War II Luftwaffe Officers Dagger with Engraved Blade. Measures 17 3/16 inches long overall. The double engraved steel blade shows a flying eagle clutching a swastika in his talons in the center. There is a floral motif on each side. It is maker marked ‘P D Lunescloss Solingen’. It has their Roman helmet with a sword logo in the center. It measures 3/4 inches wide by 10 1/16 inches long. Includes the steel scabbard that measures 15/16 X11 3/4 inches. The handle is wire wrapped yellow celluloid construction (the wire is a little loose). This is the second model air force officers dagger and scabbard. Nickel silver construction. Scarce. Unauthenticated, sold as is.
