WWII Hitler Youth Knife by August Merten circa 1933-1936. Bright blade with highly visible crossgrain, acid etched motto "Blut und Ehre!" on a light gray background and Maker mark / logo "M" with oak leaves & "Solingen Ges. Geschutzt", ( early logo without the Merten name). Leather buffer pad present. Nickel plated hilt with black checkered grip and HJ diamond insignia in the center. Black painted steel based scabbard with dark brown leather strap. Blade Length: 5.3/8" Total Length: 9.5/8"
