WWII Japanese Army Officers Collar Tabs to include 1) (IJA) MAJOR'S COLLAR TABS. Red wool tabs with double gold tress, twisted bullion trim and one central metal star. Both with backing paper. this set of tabs is for the Rank of Major. 2) (IJA) CAPTAIN COLLAR TABS. Red wool tabs with cloth backing, single gold tress, twisted bullion trim and three central metal stars. This set is for the rank of Captain. 3) (IJN) CAPTAIN COLLAR TAB. Black wool collar tab with three horizontal bands of gold color tress. Pinned to the tress are two alloy cherry blossoms denoting the rank of Captain. Original backing material/covering is still present. 4) (IJN) CAPTAIN COLLAR TAB. Black wool collar tab with three horizontal bands of gold color tress. Pinned to the tress are two alloy cherry blossoms denoting the rank of Captain. Original backing material/covering is still present. 5) (IJN) LEADING SEAMAN 1ST CLASS SLEEVE RANK BADGE. A 5cm x 7cm black patch, coming to a point at its base, upon which is machine woven, in yellow, three horizontal bars above a stylized anchor. A small hole is between the bars and the anchor, where an alloy cherry blossom would have been affixed. A white backing is to the reverse that has a small red ink stamp to it. This insignia, which would originally have been worn on the upper right sleeve, signified the rank of a first class leading seaman. 6) (IJN) LEADING SEAMAN 1ST CLASS SLEEVE RANK BADGE. A 5cm x 7cm black patch, coming to a point at its base, upon which is machine woven, in yellow, three horizontal bars above a stylized anchor. A small hole is between the bars and the anchor, where an alloy cherry blossom would have been affixed. A white backing is to the reverse that has a small red ink stamp to it. This insignia, which would originally have been worn on the upper right sleeve, signified the rank of a first class leading seaman.
