WWII ITALIAN GAS MASK & CIVIL DEFENSE GROUPING | Italian WWII-era respiratory and civil-defense equipment, including a P.C. 40 civilian gas mask in its original Ministry of War / Military Chemical Service carton, with yellow P.C. 40 filter dated 1940; a Pirelli-marked filter canister and carrier; additional gas masks, filters, harnesses and accessories. The P.C. 40 was specifically developed for protection of the Italian civilian population, with documented government distribution during the war years.
