WWII MAUSER KKW BOLT ACTION RIFLE.

Cal. 22 LR. S# 1916. Bbl. 26". Blade front sight. Tangent rear sight graduated to 200m. Mauser Oberndorf made the KK Wehrsportsgewehr rifle for WWII German training. Matching numbers on bolt and bbl. Handguard, cleaning rod, bayonet lug, original front band, and band keeper are missing. A replacement front band is present. Stock is missing a few inches off the front end, possibly from a duffel cut, and thus is not curio eligible. Blue finish. Pistol grip walnut stock with takedown disc and left side sling provisions. CONDITION: stock shows scattered dings, handling marks, and some staining. Buttplate shows oxidation throughout. Balance of metal retains 80% original blue with the front band showing notable pitting, scattered oxidation, and fading to brown. Good bore. PROVENANCE: the Lifelong Collection of Terrance McCarty.
