WWII Medals and Insignia

Collection of World War II medals and insignia including: 1.) Named Air Medal with reverse engraved "S.SGT. ADAM W. QUINN, A.C.". Medal is housed in World War II period presentation case containing medal, ribbon bar, and collar stud. Medal presents full wrap brooch, is in excellent condition with case exhibiting some slight rubs. Adam W. Quinn from Pennsylvania was a right waist gunner with the 511th Bomb Squadron, 401st Bomb Group, on the B-17 #42-39857 (Belle of the Ball) that was shot down by flak in February 22, 1944 on a mission to Bernburg, Germany. Quinn was captured with the rest of his crew and spent the remaining portion of WWII as a prisoner of war. 2.) Unnamed Bronze Star medal housed in World War II period presentation case containing medal, ribbon bar, and collar stud. Medal presents slot brooch, is in excellent condition with case exhibiting some slight rubs and some tape residue. 3.) Pair of sterling 5-star general insignia measuring 1.25" in diameter. Insignia is clutch backed (2 posts) and present reverse markings "STERLING". 4.) US Airborne jump wings measuring 1.5" across. Wings are pinbacked with reverse marked "Sterling". 5.) Brigadier general's star (single only, c.1920/30's) measuring 1" across.. Star is pinbacked and lacks any markings on reverse. 6.) US General Staff insignia measuring 1" across.
