WWII US Army Named Brigadier General Uniform Grouping. Named to Brigadier General Theodore Goulsby. (1) General Headquarters, South West Pacific Brigadier General's Summer Service Uniform Set. Khaki cotton officer's service tunic with Brigadier General stars, "US" collar badges, GHQ Southwest Pacific & 3rd Army shoulder patches, and ribbon bars on the chest. Philadelphia Quartermaster Depot tailor tag with faded initials and dated December 1942. Khaki visor cap named to Goulsby and pair of khaki cotton trousers with belt. (1) 1st Cavalry Division Colonel's Winter Service Uniform Set. OD Green fine wool officer's service tunic with Colonel rank insignia, 1st Cavalry division and 3rd Army shoulder patches, "US" collar badges, and ribbon bars on the chest. Maker mark by The Storr-Schaeffer Co., named to Goulsby, and dated March 1945 on tailor tag inside interior pocket. OD green wool visor cap and pair of winter service trousers. Brigadier General Theodore Goulsby was born on September 13, 1892 in Fulton County, Georgia. During WWI he served on the Mexican border and later in France in 1918. In 1941 he was assigned to the 1st Cavalry Division and served in the Pacific theater. In 1946 Goulsby was appointed as a prosecutor for the International Military Tribunal for the Far East and took part in the trials for infamous Japanese war criminals such as Hideki Tojo. He retired September 30, 1952 and passed away in 1970. He is buried in Westview Cemetery, Atlanta.
