WWII US Army Officers grouping to include 1) WWII US ARMY FIXED BALE M1 COMBAT HELMET. Front seam magnesium shell. The shell retains most of its rough-textured olive drab paint to the exterior with some expected wear to its stainless steel rim. Retains Firestone liner and the liner has significant wear. 2) WWII US ARMY M1938 DISPATCH MAP CASE BOYT 1941 WW2. Wonderful condition M1938 dispatch map case with shoulder strap. Nicely stamped U.S. on front along with CAPT WADE MORI O-412632 and maker marked on the reverse: BOYT - 41 - All inner compartments are intact with no damage, lift-the-dot snaps function perfectly. A really nice map case from the early war period in Khaki. Excellent 3) U.S. M1936 HAVERSACK WITH GAS MASK. The M1936 haversack was originally intended for troops with motor transport, however, during WWII it became the standard pack for paratroopers. Made of a light-colored olive drab. It is approximately 31cm wide and 30cm high. It has two exterior pockets, one on the side with a blackened metal button and one in the back with also a blackened metal button. The back has two adjustable web sling with snap hook that can be removed from the ‘D’ ring to snap onto other packs. The interior has a divider in the middle that is also divided into two. U.S. is stenciled on the front flap. Maker marked and dated 1942. Also the reverse is marked CAPT WADE MORI O-412632. To the interior is a serviceable US Marked Gas Mask in excellent condition.
