World War II United States Navy VB-15 Bombing squadron patch. Schiffli embroidery, mounted on leather. Measures 5.875" in diameter. Established as Bombing Squadron Fifteen VB-15 on September 1, 1943. Insignia approved by the Office of Chief of Naval Operations on June 19, 1945. Deployed on the USS Essex. Flew the Douglas SBD Dauntless and the Curtiss SB2C-3 Helldiver. Pickup is Monday, Nov. 9, from 11 am to 7 pm at our facility in Lancaster, OH. Alternate pickup day is available by appointment for a $5 fee per lot, or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
