WWII USMC Reversible Frogskin Camouflage Poncho
A World War II era United States Marine Corps field poncho featuring the P42 frogskin camouflage pattern. A faded ink stamp is present on the interior hem of the green camouflage side. The stamp consists of three lines of printed text; Atlantic Rayon Corp. / Contract No. NXso B5381 / USN. The garment is constructed from a rubberized waterproof fabric and is fully reversible, displaying a green-dominant jungle motif on one side and a tan and brown-dominant beach motif on the other. The center features a neck opening with a protective collar and snap-fastener flap. The perimeter is finished with a series of metal snap fasteners and grommets designed to allow the piece to function as a ground sheet or be joined with other units to form a shelter. Appears to be unissued and is in excellent - near mint condition. Pickup is Monday, Nov. 9, from 11 am to 7 pm at our facility in Lancaster, OH. Alternate pickup day is available by appointment for a $5 fee per lot, or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
