Haut Marne clock
Small one-hand comtoise with brass numeral ring
Equipped with a typical brass bell gate
period: 1745 - 1755
Size: 19. 3cm wide
Heavy-duty small movement with closed plane feet
Hand-modeled iron pointer
with 2 old narrow tapered weights of 3. 7kg each cast in sand
The movement runs for a week when the weights are fully wound up
Hinged saw hammer
Striking mechanism with penalty blow and vertically hinged hammer rod (see left-front slot in the attic)
Type of movement: spindle movement with the
old klootslinger and thick-walled cast bronze-coloured bell
Offered in restored authentic condition

Details
- Clock originally hangs with 'forged wavy staff eye' attached to the back wall.
There are spikes at the bottom of the back wall to prevent the clock from sliding
- vertically hinged impact hammer rod
- two last 'bare watch photos' are in unrestored condition

comments:
- Clock has been given a different screwed brass ring because the old one was missing.
- dial pipe, twelve-star wheel have been replaced (old parts can be taken over after purchasing the clock)
- push beam partly reconstructed as it was no longer present, especially the part that engages in the stair wheel.
- completely cleaned, 'old-finished', made free of play, replaced a single bearing, polished pins, etc.
- brass spindle gap (special)
