Family owned object, already seen by an expert to identify origin and dating. Weight 1. 400Kg x2 = 2. 800Kg (weight of the pair) The item seemed made of wood but it is made of “cartoccio”, typical Neapolitan craftsmanship. The structure is intact, with minor signs of ageing (dull colours, small chips, mirrors turned opaque with oxidation spots) . According to the expert the item has never been altered, maybe in previous times one of the mirror has been changed, as is missing the protective sheet of paper. It is identical to the other, though, so this is far from certain.
