Wall sconce (2) - Napoleon III - Wood - Late 19th century

Two beautifully carved gilt bronze Napoleon III sconces, set in two woods carved into an open-mouthed wolf, painted in black typically Napoleon III. The four candlesticks are entirely original and have never been electrified. Note two restorations without visual consequences and made by a man of art: a welding on a bronze, which resulted in a small lack of gilding and a wooden wolf completely redone. See the photos.
