Wall sconce - Pair of Art Deco Sconces. Signed P.MAYNADIER / EZAN, Bronze around 1940

Pair of large bronze sconces with a copper patina from the Art Deco period circa 1935-1945. Identical, massive column-shaped frames depicting a fountain in the antique spirit. A grotesque mask spewing a flow of water in satin glass in the style of Sabino. A pair of basket-shaped tulips with clusters signed "EZAN, France" complete the sconces. Exceptional achievement, probably one of the last by the artist Pierre Maynadier (1888-1948) , in the style of Petitot's productions in vogue at the time, each wall light bearing the MP monogram under the bars which hold the waterfalls. In good general condition, no cracks or breakage. Electrified luminaires with old sockets (2) with large base bayonets. Total height 39cm, wave height only 19cm. Span from wall to tulip approximately 39. 5cm. Glassware 9cm high and approximately 22cm in diameter. Total weight almost 6. 2 kgs!
