Alice in Wonderland Queen of Hearts Rough Animation Drawing (Walt Disney, 1951). Heads are about to roll! This expressive 16 field 3-peghole rough animation drawing features the Queen of Hearts from the flamingo croquet section of the film. The nearly full figure drawing is rendered in graphite with color pencil and was created for the scene at 1:05:14 where the Queen leans in to warn Alice not to provoke her. She tightly grips the neck of her flamingo to emphasize her point, shaking it violently. The animation in this scene was supervised by Eric Larson (1905 – 1988), a Disney Legend inductee and one of Disney's "Nine Old Men" who contributed to numerous Disney feature films. The rough drawing is centered on the page and noted as 27 in the lower right. It measures about 9'' x 7.5'' and comes with a Howard Lowery Certificate of Authenticity.
