Walt Disney Studios - Cinderella (1950)

[ translate ]

Cinderella Animation Drawing (Walt Disney, 1950). "After all, I suppose it would be frightfully dull, and, and boring, and completely... completely wonderful." Cinderella gazes wistfully out her bedroom window in this gorgeous 16 field 3-peghole animation drawing from Disney's classic animated feature Cinderella. This key moment can be found at about the midpoint of the film - roughly 39:37 - shortly before the mice surprise her with her dress. She watches the glimmering castle in the distance, wishing she was able to attend. Disney Legend inductee and one of Disney's "Nine Old Men" Eric Larson (1905 – 1988) supervised the animation of this scene. This rare, detailed drawing is centered on the page rendered in graphite with color pencil and measures about 3'' x 4.25''. It perfectly captures Cinderella's yearning to go to the ball, even as she tries to convince herself she would be better off not going. The drawing is noted as 11 in the lower right. Very Good condition with light age-related toning, minor edge and handling wear, and faint superficial wrinkles not on the image. HID09710052018 © 2024 Heritage Auctions | All Rights Reserved
