The Disney Store – Large Goofy Character Display Prop (Walt Disney, c. 1990s-2000s). Here is a large Goofy fiberglass figure from a Disney Store display. These large store display props were never sold directly to the public and have become extremely popular with collectors for their scarcity. Character display props like this one were the impetus for the popular Disney Big Figs sold exclusively at the stores, parks and catalog in the late 90s and early 2000s. This terrific figure depicts classic Goofy catching butterflies. Goofy is seen here in his usual turtle neck and vest, with white gloves, and his tall hat (originally designed as a rumpled fedora). The figure measures roughly 29" x 22". It exhibits wear and tear as expected from a displayed piece like this. The figure has some paint chips, scuffs, and superficial scratches throughout. Goofy's hat is loose. Overall condition is Fair. Disney Store character displays are exceedingly rare and hard-to-find.
