The Disney Store – Sleepwalking Donald Duck Store-Displayed Character Prop (Walt Disney, c. 1990s-2000s). Sleepwalking Donald Duck performs a risky maneuver when he walks out onto the end of a flagpole. Here's a RARE Disney Store character display prop depicting the sleeping duck in his pajamas balancing on the flag pole's finial. According to the National Sleep Foundation, sleepwalking is prevalent in about 1% of the general populace and has been a favorite topic for Hollywood going back to the silent film days. At least three of the Fab Five have had problems with sleepwalking in the past; Pluto in 1947s The Sleepwalker, Goofy in 2013s Sleepwalkin' and Donald Duck in 1947s Sleepy Time. This fantastic Donald Duck figure measures roughly 32" x 22". This piece was an actual display in The Disney Store. The store displays were never sold to the public. Incredibly popular with customers, these oversized characters inspired the highly collectible Disney Big Figs which were sold exclusively through Disney retail stores, parks, and catalogs throughout the late 90s and early 2000s. This exceedingly rare store prop exhibits typical wear from its use and removal. Despite minor chips, scuffs and scratches, the piece presents beautifully.
