The Big Wash Goofy Animation Drawing (Walt Disney, 1948). "Good mornin', sir!" Goofy reaches up to tip his hat in this original production drawing from his 1948 theatrical short The Big Wash. This Clyde Geronimi-directed short placed Goofy in a non-preforming circus role as the sole caretaker for the star elephant Dolores. Unfortunately for Dolores, the day begins with Goofy oversleeping through her breakfast feeding time. When viewed online, Goofy can be spotted near the 4:10 mark as he greets a suspiciously elephantine clown while searching for Dolores who is also due for a thoroughly unwanted bath. His half-figured image has been rendered in graphite and colored pencil to a character size of 5.5" x 6.75" on 12 field 5-peghole animation paper numbered 10 and lettered BD in the lower and upper right corners respectively. With typical handling and edge wear including light age-related toning and superficial surface wrinkles, overall this respectable drawing is in Very Good condition.
