Walt Disney Studios - Lady and the Tramp (20th Century)

Lady and the Tramp Lady Animation Drawing (Walt Disney, 1955). Lady watches her owners, Jim Dear and Darling, curiously in this beautiful 16 field 3-peghole animation drawing, found at approximately 28:41. The couple has just had their baby and Lady isn't sure what all the fuss is about. She expectantly watches Jim walk down the stairs, hoping he will give her a little of his attention. This endearing character was animated by Disney Legend inductee and one of Disney's "Nine Old Men" Ollie Johnston (1912 – 2008), and initially inspired by a sketch by storyman Joe Grant (1908 - 2005). The full figure animator's extreme measures about 2.25'' x 4'', beautifully rendered in graphite with color pencil and centered on the page. The drawing is noted as C600 in the lower right and includes a timing chart on the right edge. Production art from the film is difficult to find, so don't miss the chance to add this amazing drawing of Lady to your collection.
