Walt Disney Studios - Lady and the Tramp (20th Century)

[ translate ]

Lady and the Tramp Tramp Animation Drawing (Walt Disney, 1955). There are some scenes that just stick with you when watching this movie, and this is one of them. The animation in this scene was supervised by one of Disney's "Nine Old Men" Wolfgang Reitherman (1909 – 1985). Tramp valiantly battles the rat in the baby's nursery, hoping to save Darling and Jim's new child and prove to Lady that he wants to be with her. This dramatic and intense 16 field 3-peghole animation drawing can be found at about the 1:06:42 mark as Tramp gets a hold of the rat's tail. Tramp's determination and ferocity are clearly visible in this large full figure graphite with color pencil drawing. He measures about 6.5'' x 6'', snarling with his teeth bared, and is noted as 192 in the lower right. Animation drawings like this from the 1950s are already hard-to-find, but this piece could be a unique and meaningful addition to your collection. Minor edge and handling wear with light age-related toning and faint superficial wrinkles not on the drawing. Very Good condition overall.
