Walt Disney Studios - Oliver and Company (1988)

[ translate ]

Oliver & Company Dodger Animation Drawing Sequence of 3 with Note from Mark Henn (Walt Disney, 1988). "Hiya." Dodger, famously brought to life with the voice talent of Billy Joel and animation prowess of Mark Henn and Kathy Zielinski, blows a kiss to a nearby dog in his big film debut. This moment is the first time we see his face, found early at approximately 6:34. This fantastic sequence of three 16 field 5-peghole animation drawings are rendered in graphite with color pencil, capturing the cocky expression on the Jack Russell Terrier's face. If you were looking for a picture-perfect drawing of his entrance, these three are it! The drawings measure about 15.75'' x 8.5'' to 6.5'' x 3.75'', labeled D-1, D-41, and D-57. All include hand-written time charts along the right edge and official Walt Disney stamps in the lower left corner. To make things even better, the first page includes a note from supervising animator Mark Henn for the clean-up artist, Steve, about going to Oliver's supervising animator Mike Gabriel or himself if he had any problems. Good to Very Good condition with minor edge and handling wear, faint edge toning, and faint superficial wrinkles away from the image. HID09710052018 © 2024 Heritage Auctions | All Rights Reserved
