The Mickey Mouse Club "I'm No Fool" Jiminy Cricket Production Art Corner Cel (Walt Disney, c. 1950s). Jiminy Cricket, best known as Pinocchio's conscience, made a monumental leap into the cast of The Mickey Mouse Club where he piqued the curiosity of Mouseketeers with his Encyclopedic knowlege and musical "I'm No Fool" and "Human Animal" segments! Even after the show's end, the educational shorts continued to be viewed in school classrooms and on The Wonderful World of Color. Featured in this lot is a large hand-painted production cel of Jiminy from one of the educational "I'm No Fool" shorts in which he steered the consciences of viewers down the straight and narrow path to do things "the right way" by "playing it safe"! Jiminy's gigantic figure measures an impressive 2.75'' x 6'' on a trimmed cel stapled to 7.5'' x 10'' board. Additionally this incredible lot features its original gold-tinted sticker and stamp on the back as originally applied to merchandise sold at the Art Corner store in Disneyland. This hand-painted artifact is a fantastic sample of the artistry once involved in animated television production at the Walt Disney Studios!
