[ translate ]

Peter Pan Captain Hook Animation Drawing (Walt Disney, 1953). "You wouldn't dare fight old Hook man-to-man! You'd fly away like a cowardly sparrow!" Captain Hook growls, a murderous glint in his eyes as he slowly climbs the rigging of the Jolly Roger. This spectacular 16 field 3-peghole animation drawing can be found at about 1:10:13 during the dramatic final duel between the captain and his nemesis. Hook climbs directly toward the camera in this incredible eye-catching sequence supervised by Disney Legend and one of Disney's "Nine Old Men" Wolfgang Reitherman (1909 – 1985). This absolutely menacing drawing measures an intimidating 5.5'' x 6.25'', rendered beautifully in graphite with color pencil. It is numbered 82 in the lower right with a studio production stamp in the lower left noting it as Production 2074, Sequence 14, and Scene 79. Light age-related toning with minor edge and handling wear. Some superficial wrinkles, though not near the drawing, and two reinforced pegholes. Very Good condition overall for this incredible moment. HID09710052018 © 2024 Heritage Auctions | All Rights Reserved
