[ translate ]

Peter Pan Original Production Drawing Featuring John Darling (Walt Disney, 1953). This rare piece of original production art from Walt Disney's 14th animated feature film, Peter Pan, is a prized collector's item. The graphite drawing on animation paper features a distinctive image of John Darling, depicted wearing a top hat and carrying his umbrella. John, voiced by Paul Collins, was animated by Disney Legend and one of "Walt's Nine Old Men," Ward Kimball. As the middle child of the Darling family, positioned between older sister Wendy and younger brother Michael, John is enamored with Wendy's tales of Peter Pan, often playing Captain Hook in their nursery games. In the film Peter Pan visits the Darling children, teaching them to fly and whisking them away to the magical island of Neverland. This production drawing, framed to 18.5" x 17.5" with a matboard aperture of 10.5" x 9.5", appears to be in Very Good condition. Illustrations of John Darling are particularly rare, given his lesser screen time compared to other characters, making this piece an extraordinary find for enthusiasts and collectors of classic Disney animation. All frames are sold as-is. Photos are not representative of actual frame condition. HID09710052018 © 2024 Heritage Auctions | All Rights Reserved
