Pinocchio Monstro Early Studio Color Model (Walt Disney, 1940). An incredible early color model drawing of Monstro from the 1940 classic Pinocchio. The whale is the final antagonist of the film and the only villain to receive any on screen retribution for his actions. This drawing was rendered in graphite with color pencil on 12 field 5-peghole animation paper and shows the enormous whale with a wide mouth and angry expression. These sheets were used to ensure the various artists colored and shaded the characters in line with the director's instructions. Monstro measures about 7'' x 3.5'' has an artist note in blue. This hard-to-find villain exhibits light age-related toning and minor edge and handling wear with plastic covering on the back. Good to Very Good condition.
