Mickey's Amateurs Mickey Mouse Rare Sequence of 3 (Walt Disney, 1937). "Okay, okay... Our next amateur is-" Mickey says, preparing to introduce the one and only Donald Duck. This incredibly rare and detailed sequence of three animation drawings can be found at around 0:42 in the classic 1937 short Mickey's Amateurs, inspired by the 1937 theatrical animation Orphan's Benefit. Mickey, dressed in his best two-tail tuxedo, hosts an amateur talent show live on the radio and is ready to introduce the first contestant after Pete's rude interruption. These large, expressive full figure drawings range from about 4.25'' x 6'' to 3.75'' x 6.5'' and are beautifully rendered in graphite with color pencil. The drawings are noted as 28, 33, and 4 in the lower right with the initials L.C. and L.M. Two include timing charts along the right edge and one features a note for how the character will be set up on the animation cels. These fantastic drawings are a wonderful chance to add this sharply dressed Mickey to your Disney collection. They are in Very Good condition overall with only minor edge and handling wear and light age-related toning. HID09710052018 © 2024 Heritage Auctions | All Rights Reserved
