Society Dog Show Mickey Mouse Animation Drawing (Walt Disney, 1939). "When I get through, you'll win a dozen blue ribbons." Mickey is determined to have Pluto win the first-place ribbon in Society Dog Show, released in 1939 and directed by Bill Roberts (1899 – 1974). He does everything he can to ensure his dog will impress the judge, including spraying him with half a bottle of sweet-smelling perfume. This wonderfully expressive 12 field 5-peghole drawing comes from roughly 2:17 in the short and can be found just before Mickey finishes pouring the perfume. He is rendered in graphite with color pencil and noted as 78 in the bottom right corner. The figure measures about 5'' x 6'' in a 11.5'' x 9.5'' mat window and is presented in a 17'' x 15'' Plexiglas frame. All frames are sold as-is.
