Alpine Climbers Donald Duck and Eagle Animation Drawing Group of 2 (Walt Disney, 1936). Mickey, Donald, and Goofy take a trip to the snowy alps in this comical animation. The short was directed by Dave Hand (1900 – 1986) and featured animation by Dick Huemer (1898 – 1979), Grim Natwick (1890 – 1990), and Norm Ferguson (1902 – 1957). This stunning pair of 12 field 5-peghole graphite drawings are shown towards the end of the animation where Donald fights a mother eagle to try and save Mickey. The first shows the angry eagle and Donald with his hands up, ready to fight. The second features Donald immediately after a blow from the eagle, upside down in the air. They can be found starting at about 8:04. The brawling figures measure roughly 9.25'' x 5'' and 6.5'' x 5.5''. They number 77-T and 97 with a scene number of 60. Some age-related toning as expected from a vintage piece with minor edge and handling wear. Superficial wrinkles with a small stain and taped tear. Good condition for these incredible drawings.
