Dumbbell of the Yukon Rare Donald Duck and Bear Cub Animation Drawing with Notes (Walt Disney, 1946). This stunning 12 field 5-peghole animation drawing features Donald and a bear cub from the 1946 short Dumbbell of the Yukon, directed by Jack King (1895 – 1958). The short follows Donald as he steals a baby bear from its sleeping mother to make a fur coat for Daisy. Things quickly turn chaotic when the mother wakes to look for her missing cub. The drawing was done in graphite with color pencil and shows Donald with a rope around his neck turning the baby bear. This moment can be found at about 3:24. The drawing measures about 5.5'' x 5.25'' with the rope included. The page is numbered six and has a frame tracker in the corner. The trimmed portion of the script with notes on this scene has been attached with tape. Some age-related toning as expected from a vintage, studio-used piece like this.
