Honey Harvester Donald Duck Animation Drawing (Walt Disney, 1949). Donald narrowly avoids getting stung by a bee, one arm full of honey, as he waves his white flag waving behind him in this outstanding 12 field 5-peghole animation drawing. This short comes from a period in Disney history when Donald surpassed all other characters in popularity, including Mickey Mouse himself. This animation has wonderful examples of the visual gags and fiery temper fans loved, released towards the tail end of the "Decade of Donald Duck" on 8/5/1949. It was directed by Disney Legend Jack Hannah (1913 – 1994), featuring Donald's battle against his new nemesis Spike the Bee. This drawing can be found at about 6:35 in the theatrical short and measures approximately 4.5'' x 4.5'', rendered masterfully in graphite with color pencil. It is noted as 13 in the lower right corner with two timing charts along the right border of the paper. Very Good condition with only minor edge and handling wear and light age-related toning.
