The Night Before Christmas Toys and Santa Claus Animation Drawing Group of 2 (Walt Disney, 1933). "Ah-chu!" A group of kids sneak out of bed to catch a peek at Santa, only for a sneeze to give them away! This remarkable pair of animation drawings captures Santa ushering the toys to their places under the tree from the old holiday Silly Symphony The Night Before Christmas. This Wilfred Jackson-directed short was released to theaters on 12/9/1933 as a loose adaptation of the famous poem attributed to Clement C. Moore and acted as a sequel to Disney's 1932 Silly Symphony Santa's Workshop. This pair of drawings can be found a few seconds apart starting near the 6:30 timestamp. Rendered in graphite and colored pencil on Santa's page, the two drawings measure about 4.5" x 4.25" for the group of toys and 5" x 5.75" for Santa. The toys drawing is numbered 87 in the bottom right corner and Santa is 3. These vintage pieces of production artwork show light production handling wear with minor superficial wrinkling, edge wear, peghole supports on one page, and light age-related toning.
